The archery facility has two field courses including a 28-target field course, approved for registered tournaments by the National and State Archery Associations where registered shoots are run each year. During the Winter, an Arctic Shoot is held for the hardy. A 3-D Match is usually scheduled for later in the Spring. This match includes the use of life-sized and life-like targets placed naturally in the wooded section of the course. The practice course has static targets placed at 20, 30, and 40 yards from the firing line, as well as above-ground positions to practice tree-stand shots.3-D Archery Upcoming Events
Indoor Archery The Indoor Archery League officially starts January 20, 2010. As in the years past, you will have to get 2 qualifying scores in prior to Jan. 20th. You can shoot these scores on Wednesday nights from 4:00 pm on or Sundays from 1:30-8:00 pm. Score sheets are posted on the bulletin board. When you are through shooting your score, please place it in the manila envelope. We will be starting the league at 6:00 pm, at this time there will only be one shift unless we exceed the amount of people to have one timeframe -- then we will be shooting 2 lines; one at 5:00 and one at 7:00. If you cannot make the 6:00 start time, please contact me directly and we will accommodate an early start or a late finish depending on your schedule. As in the past, all members and non-members are welcome to shoot in the league. It is a 12-week commitment, and there will only be 2 make-up scores allowed this season. Junior members are welcome to shoot in the league, but the parents must understand that this is an adult league and your child must be mature enough to accept adult interaction. I would like any parent to contact me directly if they have any questions with juniors shooting in the league. We encourage all ages and abilities to participate. There will be a $50 fee for members this year, and a $60 fee for non-members. This includes junior shooters. The fee covers the cost of league shirts, trophies, and banquet. If this is a financial burden on you for any reason, please contact me and we can make an arrangement, and all conversations will be kept confidential. What better way to start off the year by shooting the Indoor Archery League in the new Indoor Shooting Facility? It will be a joy to be able to shoot in a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for indoor shooting. If you are unable to join the league this year and would just like to come down and shoot on Wednesdays, typically there is plenty of room to find a shooting position. Also, please sign up on the sign-up sheet posted in the ready area on the Archery Bulletin Board. Thanks. Rich Bagni 978-808-8992 |
