The archery facility has two field courses including a 28-target field course, approved for registered tournaments by the National and State Archery Associations where registered shoots are run each year. During the Winter, an Arctic Shoot is held for the hardy. A 3-D Match is usually scheduled for later in the Spring. This match includes the use of life-sized and life-like targets placed naturally in the wooded section of the course. The practice course has static targets placed at 20, 30, and 40 yards from the firing line, as well as above-ground positions to practice tree-stand shots.3-D Archery Upcoming Events
Indoor Archery The 2012 League officially starts up Wednesday Jan 11th. It’s a 300 league shooting 60 arrows at the blue and white NFAA single spot or 5 spot targets. Teams of three complete weekly and a handicap system makes it fun for all skill levels. Make sure to have all of your preliminary scores for average submitted at least one week prior the start of league. There is an Indoor Archery box in the Indoor Facility with blank score sheets, registration forms, and an envelope for score submissions. On league nights, we will start shooting for score at 6:30PM sharp, for 12 total weeks. There is an early line at 4PM, but most spots are already claimed. If you are interested in shooting the earlier line, please let me know. You will not be allowed to change your shooting time once confirmed. So if you want to shoot at a particular time, make sure you can commit for the entire season! Please arrive early each night to ensure some practice ends – especially on the first night since we have to cover range and league rules with all shooters. Cost of the league is $50 for members and $75 for non-members. The fee covers the cost of league shirts, trophies, and an end-of-year banquet. Please have the money on the first night of league - Wed Jan 11th. If you are experiencing economic hardships, please contact me to discuss payment options. Any correspondence will be discreet and completely confidential. If I do not hear from you, and you fail to pay the league fee, after three weeks your score will be penalized and/or you could be removed from the league. So if you’re ready to start pounding some X’s in our state-of-the-art (and warm) indoor shooting facility, or if you have any questions please contact Paul Pacheco at (508) 397-2369 or indoorarchery@woburnsportsmen.com
